A fantastic spot, food is served HOT and FRESH! Had the best sandwich of my Life and my wife said it was Best FrenchToast she had ever eater. She also said that the Garlic Fries were amazing (they came with my sandwich but she ate 99% of them!) Also his soup is to die for! An amazing spot and we will be back as we are in the are for a few days! Thanks for the great meal and conversation!

Golden’s is a favorite spot for a classic diner vibe. In addition to the atmosphere, the owner cooks food on the spot and with great intention and passion. For example, yogurt is homemade, pickled ramps foraged locally show up in a simple tomato salad side with smoked gouda. It’s the attention to detail that sets Golden’s apart from many businesses today. It’s hard not to be present with what you’re eating, which makes for a Golden experience (pun-intended ).

I can’t tell you what you’re missing until you step in to get a feel and taste. It’s a small joint and and this guy engages in conversation, makes your meal in front of you, and you get to enjoy the the experience. Definitely a place I’d go for lunch if you need a new spot, or every Tuesday kinda place. Love this place and the pic is a Utica Burger with garlic fries

10 out of 10! Stopped by this charming small corner spot for breakfast! I had the corn bread bubble waffle with NY pure maple syrup and a side of bacon. It was so DELICIOUS! The owner, Jeff, is friendly and cooks right on the spot for you. The menu is straightforward yet thoughtful featuring different daily specials. Was visiting for work and discovered it on my last day, bummed I didn’t find it sooner because I would have come here every morning.

Classic diner greasy spoon type of food. It’s a one man show with only the chef there. Amazing and delicious food and I thought the corn bubble waffles were fantastic. Never had them before and I think it’s a new favorite now.

Best diner food, kindest owner, cutest corner shop. MUST SEE when visiting utica. Highly suggest getting the cannoli french toast and the full english- the sausage is to die for.

These are the places I like to find. This little gem will not disappoint unless you want takeout, which they don’t have from what I’m told. Jeff is the owner, chef, prep guy, server and dishwasher all in one. I gave him 5 stars across the board including atmosphere. It might not be a 5 star restaurant atmosphere that you’re paying 100 a plate but it’s great for this little place. I had breakfast here and I’ll be going back later today for lunch. To many things that I have to try in the short two days I’m in town. The food was delicious and it was like my mom or day was in the kitchen cooking it for me. This is a must try. Open Monday thru Friday 7-2. Come get you some good food cook fresh daily.
